Types of Information Collected
Depending on how you use our web site we collect the following types of information
a. Registration Information - This is the information provided by you when you
register in order to use our web site and or other services. It includes such
information as your name, address, phone/fax number, Email address, and other personal
and or business information required for management of your account. It also includes
any other Personal information requested by us in order to manage your account whether
the information was submitted in oral, electronic or written form.
b. Posted Information - This is information provided by a user (buyer or
supplier) for posting to the Source A Product web site. This would include but is not
limited to Product Information, Company Profiles, Purchasing Tips, Information Requests
and other user generated information.. By submitting any information for posting you
are deemed to have given consent for publication of such information.
c. Transaction Information - If you request Source A Product to locate a product
or if you purchase a product or service from or through Source A Product we need to
collect additional information from you. This could include type of product, location
of supplier, billing information, credit card numbers and expiration dates and tracking
information from money orders or other financial instruments. This transaction database
is set up from data submitted by you whether in oral, electronic or written form.
d. Trend Data Information - This is a database extracted, minus the personal
identifying data, from the Registration Information, Posted Information and Transaction
Information. By using Statistical Analysis tools we are able to parse this database to
identify trends and patterns which enables us to more effectively align our staffing
and resources to our users needs.
e. Operations Information - This is technical Internet information used to enable
us to maximise the efficiency of our web site, it may include such data as, browser
software, operating system, domain name, access times, pages viewed, number of sessions.
f. User Information Base - All the types of collected information set out above as
well as any other type of information collected by any other means from Source A Product’s
customers or users constitute Source A Product’s User Information base.

How we handle the information we collect
1. User Information Base - Source A Product does not trade, rent, sell, or exchange
any personally identifying information contained in its User Information Base. In
general it uses the information in this data base for the following purposes:
. to enable it to fulfil your requests and to provide an effective level of service
. to administer your account
. to manage its business in a manner that satisfies regulatory, legal, insurance,
audit, security, and administrative requirements.
A more specific analysis of how different types of information is used is set out
below:
a. Registration Information - This information is the primary basis
for contact between Source A Product and its users. Source A Product uses the
information collected to
- communicate with its users by Email, mailing address, phone number, or fax number.
- obtain and respond to users requests for services and products.
- notify users of product offerings, product alerts, new services or to communicate
any other matter of importance in regard to usage of the site or Source A Product’s
Services.
- user ID and passwords are retained so that upon request with proper identification
the User may be reminded of it.
b. Posted Information - Users are cautioned to exercise care about
any personal or proprietary information submitted for posting on the site. Any
information submitted becomes public property and the submitter is deemed to have
relinquished any propriety rights ( including but not limited to the rights of
confidentiality and copyright).
c. Transaction Information - In order to process transactions Source A
Product needs to provide Banks or other Financial Institutions or vendors party to the
transaction with the relevant Transaction Information for the user. Where a users
credit worthiness is relevant to a transaction it may also be necessary to provide
the information to a Credit Agency. To enhance the security of your credit card
information Source A Product uses industry standard secure sockets layers encryption
Technology. Note however that no technology is completely safe.
d. Trend Data Information - this analysis based data is maintained for
the following uses:
1) to gain a better understanding of our users interests so that we can develop,
improve, market or provide enhanced products and services.
2) to enable us to more effectively allocate staffing and resources
e. Operations Information - this data base is maintained for the
following purposes:
- to enable Source A Product to diagnose problems with, and maintain its computer
servers.
- to enhance its site and services based on the usage pattern it detects.
User Information Security Safeguards
1. Only those employees who require access for business reasons, or whose duties
reasonably so require, or properly designated representatives of Source A Product are
granted access to the User Information Base.
2. All Source A Product employees are required as a condition of employment to
respect the confidentiality of personal information.
3. Source A Product takes technical, administrative and physical security
measures to protect its User Information files.
4. However no technology or procedures can eliminate all risk of theft, loss or
misuse. Source A Product will not be liable to any user or other party for any damages
arising from the unauthorised use , publication, disclosure, or any other misuse of
its User Information, including credit card information.
Conditions governing Personal Information disclosure
Source A Product reserves the right to disclose without your consent, your personal
information, where required or permitted by law if it has reasonable grounds to believe
that the information could be of use when investigating a contravention of Canadian or
foreign law, or to defend Source A Product’s legal interests or to comply with any
applicable laws or lawful government requests.
Source A Product also reserves the right to disclose any pertinent user information
were needed to pursue a claim against such user or other party for breach of such
users Agreements with Source A Product, or for any infringement, interference or
injury to the tittles, rights, or interests of Source A Product or its users and
partners.
